These shots are way past Hogan's best days of '48 & '49, as The Man stated many times, but the rythm is still beautiful to watch. His amazing record after '49 is really astonishing given he had to find a new way rotate due to injuries. Yes, his shots did sound different than anyone's on the tee at Augusta.

But he just plugged away at it untill he really understood the swing. That's what makes him such an insperation to me! In the forward to his book 'Ben Hogan's Five Lessons' there are some qoutes from him and he says, "I hit thousounds and thousands of balls to find out what exactly
happens in the swing". You should? read his books, they are gold dust.

I know we all want to hit the ball like the pros, but having too much in your head can be counterproductive.
I played golf for a couple of years with a scratch player. He scolded me for thinking too much. He said all he thinks about it hitting the? ball. That is easy for a talented player, but he made a good point.

Keeping that "sitting position" at the start of the downswing has really? helped me hit more solid and powerful shots.
